Keeping Us All Safe

I would like to let you know of policies which have been implemented in clinic to keep us all safe.

Throughout your appointment I will be wearing PPE (face mask, apron and, when treating you, gloves) and you will be wearing a mask. Please bring your own if you have one and, if not I have a small supply of disposables. This is for everyone’s safety – “my mask protects you and yours protects me”. The use of all PPE is essential and in line with current guidelines for healthcare settings.

All surfaces, door handles, chairs, treatment couch and any shared areas will be disinfected between each patient and any linen used (couch cover, towels etc.) will, as usual, be replaced with fresh items.

Appointment times have been spread so please arrive on time for your appointment (not early) to allow time for cleaning and aeration, and so we can avoid you overlapping with other patients in the waiting room. Please also minimise what you bring with you – this includes other people! Children should be accompanied by a chaperone, but I would ask that otherwise you come alone or ask your travelling companion to remain in the car or go for a walk.

All patients will be triaged before booking to assess the requirement for a face-to-face consultation.

Should you have any symptoms such as fever, cough, rashes, loss of smell or taste, please contact the clinic to discuss and reschedule your appointment. This also applies if you have been in direct contact with anyone displaying any of these symptoms.

Furthermore, should you develop any symptoms within 2-3 days of visiting the clinic, please let me know so that I can take the necessary steps to safeguard future patients.

A copy of the full infection risk assessment and mitigation policy is available on request.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
